"The rise of the seaport of Odessa was happening in the XIX century as a result of its porto franco policy — the lack of economic pressure has let the city develop independently of the Empire's norms and rules, and create a unique blend of social relations, conventions, and connections.
The ghost of the free harbor is still hovering over the city instigating the independent and unchained practices of the Southern styles. These days the dockside areas of Odessa are abandoned and only getting explored by the stalkers looking for the artifacts of the bygone history.
The instrumental part of this track was recorded at one of such places — the Dockyard #2, which has become a local mecca for creative practices, occupied with the studios of artists, architects, designers, sculptors, and musicians." –– Chillera
